Thais and Sophocles met in September 2018, while dropping off their artwork for the Septemberfest Art exhibition at One Art Space Gallery in TriBeca, NYC. Sophocles was the curator of the show, while Thais was one of the featured artists, a painter from Brazil. After five more shows at One Art Space, Thais and Sophocles decided to team up and create Start Shows.
